Breakfast Recipes to Power Your Day
Fuel before the first burn
01 — Dawn Patrol Overnight Oats
Prep it tonight, crush the dawn session.
Pre-send · 5 min + overnight · ~22g protein
The grab-and-go breakfast that's ready before your alarm goes off. Assemble it the night before and it's waiting in the fridge when you're loading the pack in the dark.
Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened soy milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 banana, sliced
½ cup blueberries
Cinnamon + maple syrup (optional)
Method
Stir oats, soy milk, chia, and a pinch of cinnamon together in a jar.
Swirl in the peanut butter.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (4+ hours works).
Top with banana and blueberries as you head out the door.
Why it works: Slow oats and banana lay down steady glycogen for a long session; soy milk brings complete protein for overnight repair; chia adds omega-3s, and blueberries are anti-inflammatory antioxidants for hard-worked fingers.
02 - Crux Scramble Burrito
Big protein for a big projecting day.
Pre-send · 15 min · ~28g protein
The classic pre-session breakfast burrito, built to survive a chalk-dusted pack. Warm, savory, and loaded enough to carry you into the hard stuff.
Ingredients
200g firm tofu, crumbled
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 cup baby spinach
½ cup canned black beans, rinsed
2 large flour tortillas
Salsa, olive oil, salt, pepper
Method
Heat oil in a pan; add crumbled tofu, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Cook 5–6 minutes, stirring, until golden.
Add black beans and spinach; cook until the spinach wilts.
Stir in nutritional yeast, then load into tortillas with salsa and wrap.
Why it works: Tofu and beans stack ~28g of protein for muscle and connective-tissue repair; turmeric brings anti-inflammatory support; the tortilla and beans load carbs for the wall; and salsa's vitamin C helps you absorb the plant iron.
